Welcome to a guided tour by Bird Guide Gigi Sahlstrand. We welcome both beginners and more experienced birdwatchers. The tour is in co-operation with SWAROVSKI OPTIK so take the opportunity to ask your questions about binoculars, telescopes and optics in general while we are out.

Good to know:

• Everyone is welcome – from beginners to experienced birdwatchers.
• You can take your own equipment with you but there will be binoculars and telescopes available for loan from SWAROVKSI OPTIK. Why not test some of their new products in the field. There are 5 telescopes and 10 binoculars available. First come, first served.
• Max 20 people. You can apply in advance at the SWAROVSKI OPTIK stand but you can also join at the stand at the published time – if there is space available.
• The tour will take about an hour – make sure you have the right clothes for the weather conditions.
• The guiding is free of charge and leaves from SWAROVSKI OPTIK’s stand.

About Gigi Sahlstrand:

Gigi Sahlstrand is Sweden’s only female professional birdwatcher. She is active in her company Fågelguidning AB, where she guides and leads birding trips the world over. In 2017 she was the judge in SVT’s television programme “The Great Birding Adventure”. Gigi is one of two authors of the book “Start to watch birds”.

Gigi is often asked for expert comment in radio, TV or in articles. In April 2023 she was chosen to be a Member of the Board of BirdLife Sverige.
